After 2010, the maximum RRSP contribution limits are indexed for inflation.
If you have not used all of your RRSP contribution deduction limits for the years 1991 to 2009, you can carry the unused amounts forward to 2012 and beyond. As a result your accumulated RRSP contribution limit may be greater than $22,970 for 2012.
