Sample Investment Portfolios

You will find three sample investment portfolios in this section - an Income investment portfolio, a Balanced investment portfolio and an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) investment portfolio.

Example: The Sample Balanced Portfolio is designed to include Bonds, GICs, Preferred shares, Common shares, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), and, at times, Inverse ETFs.

Each sample investment portfolio is supported by eight quarterly summary reports.

The past investment performance for each sample investment portfolio is calculated and reported annually as at June 30th.

The sample portfolios are just one of the many resources and tools contained within our website intended for investors to gain greater confidence and control when making investments.
